ESTABLISHING

Bruce and Babs Box established Industrial Corrosion Control in 1986 and Incorporated in 1990, now referred to as ICCI. Becoming successful entrepreneurs was the great American dream they pursued when deciding to go into business for themselves. Bruce had been in the coatings industry for his entire adult working experience. He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding in the 70's as a painter and through hard work and dedication, he progressed into leadership roles while working under the most demanding of customer requirements, The United States Government. His talents were later recognized at McDermott Shipbuilding and Paceco Manufacturing as he accepted leadership positions in the early 80's. Meanwhile, Babs had developed her own reputation in finance, holding a variety of positions for a local financial corporation. With their business and industry knowledge, this union became a valuable arrangement for independent business.

BEGINNING

The beginning years were based on the high level of experience Bruce had in marine and industrial coatings and accepting contracts for the surface preparation and coating of barges, boats, machinery, and industrial equipment. When ICCI purchased a three-acre parcel adjoining their rental property, they were able to expand the scope of their work. This property became the first substantial asset and opened the door for growth.

CHANGING MARKET

When gaming was introduced to Mississippi in 1993, the market changed and a demand for commercial contractors dominated the Gulf Coast. In 1995, ICCI acquired Freeman Painting and established a commercial division to capitalize on the commercial growth and expansion. With the completion of several gaming-oriented projects, ICCI developed a strong reputation in the industry and became known for providing quality painting, installation of elaborate wall coverings, performing specialized faux finishing and application of textured wall finishes, as well as providing master craftsmen in the art of wood staining. The ability to perform this type of work had opened the market for maintenance and upgrading of the many facilities on the Gulf Coast. Meanwhile the marine and industrial work was thriving and ICCI was contracted to complete many projects including intricate barge tank linings, chemical plant preventative maintenance, drilling rig painting, Corp. of Engineer lock and dam rehabilitation, and elevated water tank renovations. The Marine and Industrial Division remained an integral part of ICCI's success.

ONLY THE BEST

The Boxes approach of providing only first-rate products, accomplished by high quality craftsmen and supported by seasoned professionals, symbolize what they stand for. Their efforts have received praise from all phases of construction ranging from the architectural firms, the general contracting companies to the end customer. The Mississippi Association Builders and Contractors (ABC) recognized one of their projects as the best painting project in the state for 1998 and second best nationally.

RETURN TO ROOTS

After major overhauls to many casinos and businesses due to Hurricane Katrina, Industrial Corrosion Control, Inc. returned to its roots in the Marine and Industrial coatings application and continued to thrive in the industry. ICCI has continued to operate under the fundamental belief that, through hard work and integrity, all the successes in life are possible. This philosophy has fostered many relationships, both internal and external, that will last a lifetime.

WE ARE INDUSTRIAL CORROSION

As the marketplace forever changes in the construction industry. One thing that will never change is the demand for Quality Service. Quality service is the core value for every successful business and has been a focal point at Industrial Corrosion Control, Inc since it's establishment in 1986. That very issue will separate a quality company from one that is merely qualified.

To maintain that quality reputation, we must continually perform at the highest standards, complete projects on time, within budget, while working hand-in-hand with Architectural and Design Firms, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Owners and Clients. Industrial Corrosion Control's sound philosophy, combined with an ingenuous approach, is the foundation for our many years of success.

In order to continue to grow from a local contributor to a regional and national industry leader, Industrial Corrosion Control has developed a nucleus of seasoned professionals in upper management. The team believes that every level of the organization must share common goals, be dedicated to producing quality products, and delivering quality service to our clients by being consummate professionals.

As we continue toward excellence, our belief in God, our dedication to hard work, and commitment to integrity, serves as our corporate philosophy. These characteristics will insure many more years of positive recognition by our peers, our clients, and our communities.
